Hi again.
My name is Christine. My interest in counseling stemmed from bigger questions I had about the world, healing, and what it means to journey with others deeply. I’m privileged to have found a field where I can authentically show up and support others in growth and healing, in a way that resonates deeply with my strengths, gifts, and values.
Education & Experience
I graduated from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2019. I appreciated that the emphasis of my school program was building the integrity of the person of the therapist, and valuing that the most healing aspect of therapy is the relationship between the counselor and client; above and beyond modality. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH 61536066).
My experience is varied in and out of the mental health field. I have experience with acuity clients in inpatient units and in YMCA CCORS, a crisis response program for youth and families in King County. I have worked significantly in the realm of child development, in families and classrooms, and event planning and service. As a counseling intern, I served students and community members at Edmonds College counseling center. My most recent role in an office-based community setting exposed me to diverse clients with a variety of presentations.
My Counseling Orientation:
I work through the lenses of: psychodynamic, client-centered, attachment-based, strengths-based, and I draw upon CBT, DBT, and mindfulness skills. I enjoy having a creative imagination for counseling.
Just for Fun:
Beyond counseling, you’ll find me exploring the natural beauty of the PNW, curled up with a good book, TV, or movie, writing, designing, creating great playlists, and enjoying meals with friends.
